PROJECT CASE STUDY / PUBLIC ART SCULPTURE
Illuminated Stainless Steel Wing Sculpture
A custom pair of sweeping wings developed from a dimensioned 3D model, built from layered stainless steel feather elements and tested with warm integrated lighting.

01 — PROJECT OVERVIEW
Feathered metal shaped
into a luminous landmark.
The sculpture combines two asymmetric wings with a continuous loop at the base. Workshop records cover the project from a dimensioned digital model through stainless steel forming, layered feather assembly, surface protection and the completed lighting test.

02 — DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
From a clean digital curve
to buildable layers.
The model established the overall envelope and the opposing wing profiles. The factory translated those large curves into repeatable rows of shaped feather elements while maintaining a clear central opening and stable base connection.

03 — FACTORY FABRICATION
Large curves controlled
one element at a time.
The workshop sequence shows the sculpture standing at full scale while the feather elements, edges and base are aligned. This stage allowed the factory to inspect symmetry, spacing, structural continuity and the overall silhouette before final lighting checks.

04 — FINAL RESULT
Movement in daylight.
Depth after dark.
Without lighting, the layered feather pattern defines the wings through shadow and repetition. When illuminated, light passes through the open structure and turns the sculpture into a warm focal point.
